A Message from the Director
It is hot out there! For those of us who live in Arizona, summer is here. As we all adjust to the heat, the museum does too. We have changed our hours from Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00-4:00 PM, to our summer hours of Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00-1:00 PM. Come and visit. We are a cool place to be, in more ways than one.
This summer we are offering exciting programs. We have something for all ages, from ages 4-6, teens, and beyond. Read on for more details. I hope you can join us for at least one program. If not, spread the word. All programs will be held at the museum.
The museum Board, volunteers, and I are so grateful for your support. We continue to work with the Town of Fountain Hills regarding the lease issue. We are confident that there will be a resolution soon.

Bat-Tastic Adventure (Ages 4-6)

Arizona State University’s Timequakes for Teens: A Participatory Workshop for Exploring Alternative Past & Possible Futures

River of Time Museum & Exploration Center and Arizona State University present Timequakes, a program that invites teens to “play with time”—exploring how communities, technologies, and environmental systems might have developed differently, and how those possibilities can inspire action to shape desirable futures. Dino-Detectives (Ages 4-6)
Thursday, July 30. 2026 @ 10:00 – 11:30 AM
Bring you 4-6 year olds for an hour of dino-detective discovery! We will read a book “Fossil” by Bill Thomson to the children followed by a hands-on supervised craft. Register at admin@riveroftime.center
Blue Star Museum Program
Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of War and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and up to five of their families, including National Guard and Reserve.

Held in conjunction with the Maricopa County Libraries Summer Reading Program, children are encouraged to visit the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center to complete challenges and hands-on activities to earn badges and prizes. Summer Scavenger Hunt
Looking for a fun activity to entertain the kiddos this summer. Visit the Museum & Exploration Center and have them complete an awesome scavenger hunt. A prize will be given to all who complete the challenge.
