The Riverbanks Gift Shop recently added a new vendor, the River Collective Co., to help address the ever-increasing challenge of water scarcity throughout the country. One way they do this is by selling locally designed native trout stickers and donating 20% of all sales to local river non-profits, who are dedicated to aiding our struggling watersheds. Their overall plan is to raise a little money, help local artists, and hopefully inspire some much-needed river advocacy.

Supporting the Friends of the Verde River

Our local river non-profit, Friends of the Verde River, located in Cottonwood, AZ, envisions a healthy, flowing Verde River and its tributaries that support our natural environment, vibrant communities, and quality of life. The Verde Valley and its visitors are fortunate to enjoy our beloved river. As a community, we rely heavily on its essential resources. However, worsening drought, fires, and increasing demand threatens our vital river systems. Future generations are relying on us to act and act now!

A Great Gift for Fishing Fanatics

To help in this important venture, Riverbanks is offering several of these trout stickers, each one vibrant and eye-catching, and about 6-7 inches long. These decals would make wonderful gifts for the fishermen or fisherwomen in your life. Next time they come home from a fishing trip emptyhanded, you can hand them one or two of these! 😉
